CAST is a nonprofit organization that brings together networks of experts to provide unbiased, science-based information to policymakers, the media, the private sector, and the public. Our diverse membership includes scientific societies, universities, companies, nonprofits, libraries, and individuals. CAST’s Board comprises representatives from these various organizations and a Board of Directors.
Our primary focus is publishing task force reports, commentaries, special publications, and issue papers authored by volunteer experts from diverse fields, including economists, legal experts, and scientists from many disciplines. These publications cover food sciences, agricultural technology, animal sciences, and plant and soil sciences.
CAST serves as a credible and impartial voice, leveraging the expertise of its networks to interpret and communicate scientific information on critical issues affecting agriculture, food systems, and natural resources.
