The following announcement was originally posted on September 11, 2019, via Iowa State’s Office of the Vice President for Research.
In 2017 Governor Kim Reynolds identified four bioscience platforms as key growth engines for Iowa’s economy. To support these efforts, the state provided new funds to Iowa State to work across university, industry and government partners to accelerate technology transfer among these platforms:
- Biobased Chemicals and Products;
- Precision and Digital Agriculture; and
- Vaccines and Immunotherapeutics.
This new request for proposals focuses specifically on economic development related to the Vaccines and Immunotherapeutics platform. New joint industry-university projects will be funded for six months with a maximum of $40,000 per project. The submission deadline is October 4, 2019. All materials should be submitted here.
Also supporting the state of Iowa’s Biosciences economic development initiative is the request for proposals for the seed grant opportunity for the Biobased Chemicals and Products platform. The deadline submission is just a few days away – September 15, 2019. All materials should be submitted here.
