Each year, well over one million people worldwide are killed in road crashes. In addition, 23 million are seriously injured and more than 80 million require treatment at hospital emergency departments. Their stories are universal: families shattered by the loss of a loved one or crushed by costs of medical treatment and the burdens of lost employment.
Working in partnership with public agencies and other road safety stakeholders, Safety Analytics will develop software and provide technical services to make transportation systems safer for everyone. This work will help pinpoint the root causes of safety problems and address the technical, behavioral, and institutional dimensions of road safety problems to overcome barriers and accelerate safety transformations.
