VetMeasure, Inc. is an animal wearable technology platform, serving as an important tool for veterinarians’ care and monitoring of their client’s animal. VetMeasure’s harness remotely monitors a dog’s temperature, respiration and pulse rate, and environmental temperature and humidity- with the purpose of identifying unusual drops or increases- providing an early warning for animals falling into a health risk status.
Factors involved in health changes include: surgical recovery, declining or at-risk health conditions, disease monitoring or recovery, activity level resulting in heat stress or well-being risks by more susceptible breeds/age/type, etc., service dogs- including military, and many other categories that present concerns of health, comfort and stress management. These multiple data points will help aid the veterinarian and animal owners’ knowledge and animal health care response.
The electronic harness technology solution will support decision making for the improved timing of intervention strategies, considering past data from similar cases (breed, age, gender, condition) with appropriate treatments and resulting outcomes.
Currently, VetMeasure is focused on canines but will be adapting the technology for livestock and equines. The planned commercialized stage of this technology solution will include a harness, app, and cloud-based platform.
